A Prayer for Holy Trinity Adapted from Order of St Luke Cycle of Prayer – March 2019
Light of the world, bless Holy Trinity with sparkling crystal clear windows through which the light of your love shines brightly. We want to see you Jesus! We want to be the people through whom you touch the eyes of your people, so that we all see the world from your perspective – with myriad possibilities for healing and transformation.
Send spring-cleaning angels to encourage and help us as we energetically:
- Clean and polish our ministries, revealing their unique beauty, strengths and purpose. May we reflect the light of Christ with renewed passion as we carry your healing ministry into the marketplace.
- Give thanks for forgotten treasures that we can use again, such as music, recordings, books and prayers.
- Share our favorite strategies and materials with those who are just starting out in ministry.
- Let go of outgrown perspectives and traditions so we can joyfully receive even better ones from the Holy Spirit.
- Make room for bright-eyed new members, warmly welcoming them.
Thank you that we at Holy Trinity are a lighthouse built on a hill. Shine the light of your healing love through the lens of our yielded hearts so that we are a beacon of hope to those at risk of foundering on the shoals. Inspire us with eager anticipation that you will work wonders among us! Nurture our faith that you will bring resurrection life to your people today, right here, right now – through us. As we see the amazing miracles you work in our midst, may we rejoice and give thanks to you, Jesus, our Redeemer and Healer, Amen. [Contributed by Art T.]
Dear Lord, We give thanks for your constant presence in our lives. We pray that as a vestry, we will put our total trust in you as we begin our search for a new pastor. Open our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit as we conduct our search and let us not lose patience or be discouraged as we work to fully understand your will for us and for Holy Trinity. We ask that our new pastor be a person of integrity and honesty and lead a life marked by prayer, faith, compassion and love. May he/she also be a person of vision who will strengthen our faith and reach the lost for Christ. We pray for our congregation that they will be faithful and supportive as we work together in unity to find a priest who will answer the call. Help guide us in our search during the months ahead. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen. [Contributed by: Joanne W.]

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God: I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous hand.
Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not set you ablaze.
