At Holy Trinity, we consider ourselves a family, and the best way to engage with this family experience is to get involved.
Below you will find a variety of pathways to connect at Holy Trinity.

Outreach

Thrift Shop – The Holy Trinity Thrift Shop is a non-profit ministry that partners with and supports our community by providing affordable clothing and household items.
The thrift shop is a great place to donate items you no longer need. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the day-to-day operations.

Laundry Love – Through the efforts of volunteers, Holy Trinity offers free laundry services to those in a high-poverty area of Clearwater.

Sandy Lane Elementary School – Recognizing the educational challenges of children in low-income families, Holy Trinity supports this Title 1 school, contributing backpacks, school supplies, coats, gloves, bicycles, and encouraging educators with tangible messages of gratitude for their work.

Farmworker Support – Holy Trinity makes regular financial contributions to food programs that assist migrant farmworkers in our area. In addition, we collect and deliver food, blankets, and gift cards during the Christmas season.

Local Food Pantry Collections – Our congregation participates in a monthly food collection for distribution to three local food banks.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace – We sponsor an event for SHP at which volunteers build, assemble and deliver beds to families, in Pinellas County, whose children are without adequate places to sleep.

Domestic Violence – We support a domestic violence shelter called The Haven, a ministry of Hope Villages of America, located in Clearwater, FL. In addition, we have several members of Holy Trinity who are certified court advocates. These people assist domestic violence survivors as they navigate the difficult process of seeking legal protection from their abusers.

Ready For Life Pinellas – Holy Trinity contributes to this skill center as it supports and guides former foster care youth in the transition to adulthood.

Aids Partnership Dinners – Our outreach team supports annual dinners for those dealing with AIDS.

Episcopal Relief and Development – This global ministry is operated by the national office of the Episcopal Church. It facilitates healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease on an international scale. Holy Trinity makes regular financial contributions to ERD.

Fellowship

Sunday Morning Breakfast – Hot Breakfast and friendship is served in the Café on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays at 9am. Continental breakfast is served June through August.

ROMEOs – A monthly luncheon for men that meets at local restaurants for fun and fellowship.

CLEOs – A monthly luncheon for women that meets at local restaurants for fun and fellowship.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – We transform Holy Trinity into the Big Easy and make merry Mardi Gras style before we enter the reflective season of Lent.

Annual Picnic – Celebrate our Holy Trinity community with lunch on the lawn. This celebration typically includes a bounce-house for the kids and snow cones for all.

Blessing of the Backpacks – This is a meaningful way to mark the new beginnings of each new school year and demonstrate how our children can express the life of the people of God beyond the walls of the church. Students are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church and are blessed as part of our morning worship.

St. Francis Day/Blessing of the Animals – On this day, we celebrate St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. At this outdoor service, people bring their furry, feathery, and scaly pets to be blessed for the year.

Chili Cook-Off – Every fall on All Saints Day contestants faceoff in a sweat inducing challenge of recipes and crockpots to earn bragging rights for the next year. The cook-off immediately follows our All Saint’s Day evening worship service.

Newcomers Luncheon – A semiannual lunch for those new to Holy Trinity to learn what makes Holy Trinity special and to deepen connections with your new faith family.

Worship

Acolytes & Altar Servers – Assist the clergy during a worship service. Duties range from crucifer, torch bearer, banner bearer, reader, altar assistant, and eucharistic minister.

Readers – Read scripture and prayers during a service. Readers may be acolytes or non-acolytes.

Ushers – Hand out bulletins, assist with seating, collect the offering, and guide congregants during communion.

Welcomers – Welcome people to the church and assist those who are new to Holy Trinity.

Altar Guild – Prepare the sanctuary for worship. The altar guild works with sacred vessels, altar linens, vestments, and candles to ensure the altar platform is ready for Holy Eucharist.

Choir – Sing hymns and worship music during a service. We invite all age groups and ability levels to be participants in our choir.

Handbell Choir – A group of people who ring coordinated bells and offer special musical presentations throughout the year.

Enrichment

Children’s Sunday School – Our little ones are invited to attend this special program, during our 10AM service, that offers lessons, crafts, and games that are age appropriate for their faith development.

Cursillo – Join this weekend retreat that is held at our diocesan conference center several times a year. It’s been called a “short course” in Christian understanding and discipleship. Cursillo is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your faith and spirituality.

Kairos – A unique ministry to those who are incarcerated. The main purpose of Kairos is to share the unconditional love of Jesus with prison inmates. Participants in a Kairos weekend often find they are transformed just as much as the inmates to whom they minister.

Coffee with the Clergy – Hosted by Pastor Daniel, Coffee with the Clergy is a series dedicated to learning and discussion. It typically takes place on Wednesday mornings. Topics range from scripture, theology, history, liturgy, current events, or anything else the group wishes to discuss.

Prayer and Share – Come enjoy a pot-luck dinner, fellowship, sharing, discussion, and prayer. This unique ministry offers participants an opportunity to learn more about themselves and their relationship with God. Prayer and Share meets on the last Friday evening of each month.

Wednesday Night Lenten Series – A tradition at Holy Trinity; this special teaching series occurs during the season of Lent on Wednesday evenings.

Pastoral Care

Grief Share Bereavement Group – Grief Share is a grief recovery program where people can find help and healing following the loss a loved one. Through this 13-week program, participants learn how to understand the difficult emotions of grief, as well as ways of coping with their loss and gain support each step of the way.

Eucharistic Visitors – There are times in life when, whether due to physical, mental, or emotional circumstances, we cannot attend worship in-person, so the church comes to us. Eucharistic Visitors bring the Blessed Sacrament (the Body and Blood of Christ) to those who are unable to attend church services.
